The Dance

Boom!
I hit my next pose and felt my energy burst out in a ray of sunlight swirling and sparkling around me. Before it got too far ahead, I pulled back, catching it in my arms, cradling the beauty. The music changed and I pulled it all in again, absorbing my precious bundle.
    Boom!
Another pose. I lift my face to the sky as my hands reach for the stars, one at a time, thanking them for their light. I let the beauty of the song flow through me, twirling me around and tearing me apart before putting me back together again, even better than I was before.
My heart pounds as I push forward, repeating my routine until I can't get it wrong. With every repetition my smile grows wider, even if my feet are getting sore.

Eddie Salsbury

Eddie Salsbury, was a very peculiar boy. How peculiar the world and I had yet to find out.
To begin with, he, well, he had marvelously large ears and thousands of freckles. So many, in fact that it looked as if he had tried to become a Dalmatian.
Mama said his hair was “Bright as orange peel but not nearly as kept”, and I got mad at her when she did. You see, Mama didn’t appreciate anything about him, but I did. Because in my opinion, everybody’s got somethin nice about themselves, and for Eddie Salsbury, it was his eyes. I’d been jealous of those clear, icy blue spheres of vision ever since we were four years old. He certainly didn’t hesitate to brag about ‘em. And those eyes were everywhere, always looking, always finding things for his little mouth to ask.
Yes, he was very peculiar. But I liked him.

Welcome Ladies and Gents! Welcome.

Hello and welcome! What I post here is going to be my photographs, my writing, my art, my poems... Anything and everything that makes me happy that I, or sometimes others, have created. :)

And, hey, so I'm not a stranger, here's a bit more about me.

1. I have loved writing ever since I was 8 or 9, and I even wrote a book. It was absolutely horrible. *shudder* :)

2. Rain is my most favorite thing in all the world, and dancing in it? Please. Nothing can beat that.

3. I am an absolutely hopelessly hopeful romantic.

4. I have a fondness for performing monologues that simply can't be explained.

5. I used to play violin, but don't anymore, but still hold it in deep regard.

6. I find quaint little towns in Wyoming very beautiful and intriguing.

7. I absolutely ADORE words with all of my heart! They are so fascinating!

8. I am ridiculously interested in psychology, body language, and deduction skills. (Of which I have a great many, in case you're wondering...)

9. I have a brother serving on a mission for the LDS church whom I love very much.

10. I love lists.

Maybe I'm still a stranger, but at least I'm not the strangest stranger out there. :D
